Ovolo Publishing Ltd is a Cambridgeshire-based independent book publishing company, which specialises in non-fiction books about property, personal finance and popular music.

Current Managing Director Mark Neeter founded the company in 2003. With a background as an Editor and Publisher in the magazine industry he believed there were lessons from the modernisation of production and distribution channels that could be applied to the book business. With the rights to the Housebuilder's Bible the company set out to build the title's availability. Having achieved that, the aim was to launch further titles. This the company has done.

For a relatively small company Ovolo handles its own distribution and warehousing which means that we can ensure that all orders are fulfilled within 24 hours and delivered within 48 hours.

Ovolo is also unusual for its size, in that it has direct accounts with WHSmith, Waterstones and Borders as well as many other retailers. We also sell our own books online at www.buildingbooksdirect.com and through show bookshops at exhibitions.

As part of the company's development we are looking to diversify into a number of different areas. The first of these is music and our first book - 77 Sulphate Strip, the inside story of the arrival of punk the book has had great reviews from, amongst others, John Lydon. Sales of the book are picking up as word of mouth spreads.
